The semi-auto dosing system is an economic middle ground between fully manual and fully automatic batching: the weighing step is handled automatically by weighing instruments, while material charging and changeover are performed by operators following on-screen guidance. The system prompts item-by-item with ingredient name, target weight and bin location; the operator weighs accordingly and any out-of-tolerance weight triggers an alarm that blocks progress to the next step. Every weighing transaction is recorded automatically and linked to recipe number, shift and operator ID to create a complete batching log for quality traceability and performance review. Compared with pure manual batching, error rates and workload drop significantly; compared with a fully automatic line, it has a much lower entry cost and is simple to maintain. Ideal for small-to-medium capacity mixing workshops and high-mix/low-volume production scenarios, it also serves as a phasing solution before a full auto batching system is installed.
