Client Challenge
The customer’s mixing workshop had equipment from multiple vendors with fragmented controls. Troubleshooting relied on on-site patrol inspection, while recipe and batch data existed only as paper records — insufficient for the group’s quality and energy-consumption KPI requirements.
Solution
We rolled out a central electrical control system upgrade: new MCC centralized power distribution with hierarchical PLC control at device level; at the supervisory level, KingView SCADA was connected to every banbury mixer and auxiliary, unifying equipment status monitoring, one-touch mixing scheduling, recipe/batch archiving and energy statistics. After an assessment of legacy circuits, the switchover was performed in three process-line phases, each completed within a 48-hour window.
Results
The workshop now runs under centralized monitoring with data-driven operations; fault response time has been drastically shortened, and automated recipe & batch archives meet the group’s reporting rules. Energy-consumption reports have supported energy-saving retrofit decisions, bringing the annual combined electricity consumption down by approximately 8%.
